I just got home and showered so I have some time to kill for my hair to dry and stuff. I guess this blogging thing has really become tradition for when I’m trying to sober up. Legal drinking guys, don’t worry. Nothing bad happened, I am a responsible (maybe too responsible) drinker.

It’s the end of another year… I feel like my posts have become slightly too cliche and overdone. So instead, here are some random facts I’ve noticed in myself and willing to admit while drunk… or completely exhausted. I’ve been waiting for laundry to finish so I can hang it up to dry.

1. I’m not a very nice person. I do “nice” things for people because sometimes I feel like people need a break. Sometimes I feel like people just need someone there for them occasionally or something along those lines. I can switch off the nice thing in an instant. Some people think it’s cruel, and I suppose it is… but it all comes back to living with purpose. I do things with purpose. I am nice to people with purpose, not because I’ve never been mean or can’t be mean.

2. I collect make-up but never really use it. I use it when there’s time and when there’s a special occasion. When I do use it, I prefer when it’s not noticeable and it’s a bit of a pet peeve when people point out that I’m wearing it. Not a pet peeve actually, just something I can’t react to. I just feel like I failed at putting it on if someone is able to point it out.

3. I get a bit of a rush when I start getting to know someone new. Like really getting to know someone, not just their hobbies or their favourite colour or whatever. I mean it’s amazing to hear about they way people view life, the things they’ll joke/laugh about, the things they believe in. And also all the small habits they have, which leads to my next point.

4. I’m freakishly observant about certain things. Like I said before, I always notice little quirks in people and I really can’t help it. The way people lift their wrist to view the time on their watch or the way they approach and press the crosswalk button. I keep most of it to myself though because people would probably be creeped out by it.

5. I am (usually) easily amused. I believe it’s what makes me a happy person. I know I don’t look like the friendliest person, but I do laugh a lot. I find a lot of things funny. And I have a really loud laugh.

6. I can’t tell if I’m introverted or extroverted. It’s a mix of both. I actually really like hanging out with people all the time and meeting people. But at the same time, I like staying at home alone and just relaxing. Too much of either will drive me crazy.

By the time I finished this post it was May 3rd… But enjoy, whoever is reading..

Melbourne, Australia

A 388-metre-high hotel and apartment building, which will be the tallest building in the southern hemisphere when completed, has been approved by planners in Melbourne, Australia.

The government of Victoria last week gave the go-ahead for Australia 108, designed by local architects Fender Katsaladis for a location in the Southbank area just a few streets away from another of its skyscrapers, the 297-metre-high Eureka Tower.

As well as 108 floors of apartments, the building will contain a luxury hotel and several restaurants and bars on its upper floors, plus a food market and cafe near ground level.

Melbourne’s city council had originally opposed the project, fearing the 108-storey building would cast a shadow over the Shrine of Remembrance war memorial, but planning minister Matthew Guy said the project had now received endorsement from the memorial’s trustees and met the city’s planning conditions.

The building is due to be completed in 2018, but may not retain its title as the southern hemisphere’s tallest for long, because an even taller skyscraper is set to complete in South Africa in the same year – the 447-metre-high Centurion-Symbio tower in Tshwane.
